I’d like to practice interaction design as a full-time employee at a firm that is currently shipping product or providing agency services. This company must be established (three or more years in business) and financially solvent. Most importantly, the company culture must value ethical, principled behavior in all facets of the business.
As an interaction designer, I research and document customer goals and behaviors and subsequently design process flows and user interactions to support those goals and behaviors. This work generally provides business benefits beyond an extraordinary customer experience:
I have strong visual design skills and a moderate degree of technical sophistication, but I am not a “graphic designer who codes”. I communicate well with programmers, engineers, and visual designers, and I do my best work in collaboration with these roles.
